We’re really excited to share that we will be partnering with New Story to build a home for a single mother of 4 living in extreme poverty in Ahuachapán, El Salvador. The build costs approximately $6,000 and 100% of the proceeds go directly towards local labor and local materials to provide a safe home with clean water and proper sanitation.
We have chosen to support the Vasquez Santillana Family, a single mother of 4 — ages 14, 13, 6 and 1. Currently living with her parents, Morena’s $100 monthly income makes it difficult to own a home of her own. Their house has a leaking tin roof prone to infiltration, causing her kids to get sick easily. She dreams of having her own home for her children to grow up healthy in; and with your support, we are pleased to provide a safe and secure place for Morena’s family.
New Story’s mission is to build life-changing communities. They build safe homes and transforms slums into thriving communities. Since their started 2 years ago, they've funded over 800+ homes in 7 communities around the developing world. To learn how to get involved, visit www.newstorycharity.org.
Thank you for your support in contributing towards this cause -- this could not be done without you! We’ll be sharing photos of the progress, so please follow along the 6 months buildout!
